WYSIWYG Chalice frag #2

£15.00

WYSIWYG chalice frag mounted on a 20mm frag plug. The coral you see is the coral you will receive.

This Multicolour Chalice combines a rich purple to magenta base with scattered fluorescent green, yellow and warm orange highlights. Rather than a uniform pattern, the colours appear naturally mottled across the surface, giving each section of the coral its own character.

The contrasting pigments become particularly noticeable under blue reef lighting, with the green and yellow areas producing bright flashes of colour against the darker surrounding tissue. As the frag encrusts and develops, its pattern can become increasingly detailed.

Recommended Tank Parameters

Temperature: 24–26°C

Salinity: 1.025–1.026 SG

Alkalinity: 7.5–9.0 dKH

Calcium: 400–450 ppm

Magnesium: 1250–1400 ppm

Nitrate: 2–15 ppm

Phosphate: 0.03–0.10 ppm

Lighting: Low to moderate, approximately 50–120 PAR

Flow: Low to moderate, indirect

Placement: Lower areas of the aquarium

Care Level: Easy–Moderate

Temperament: Semi-aggressive

Growth Form: Encrusting / plating

Start this Chalice in a relatively sheltered position and acclimate it gradually if moving it into brighter lighting. A gentle, varied flow is ideal, providing water movement across the surface without directly blasting the tissue.

Give it some clearance from neighbouring corals. Chalices can produce feeding and sweeper tentacles after dark and may damage corals positioned too close.
