This Gold Eye Chalice features a warm red to burnt-orange base covered with fine textured patterning and intensely fluorescent golden-yellow eyes. Under blue reef lighting, the eyes become exceptionally bright, standing out sharply against the more subtle surrounding tissue.
As the coral grows, additional eyes can develop across the expanding plate, gradually creating a more intricate and colourful colony. Its relatively low-profile growth makes it an excellent choice for adding colour to lower areas of the reef.

Chalice corals generally perform best when introduced to stronger lighting gradually. Give the colony sufficient room to expand and avoid placing other corals immediately alongside it, as feeding and sweeper tentacles may extend beyond the edge of the colony, particularly at night.
