Single Head
Orange Dragon Soul Torch Coral
The Orange Dragon Soul Torch is a spectacular Euphyllia prized for its long flowing tentacles, rich golden-orange colouration and contrasting fluorescent tips. Under reef lighting, the combination of warm tones and bright highlights creates exceptional movement and makes this an impressive feature coral.
Like other Torch Corals, it appreciates moderate lighting and varied water movement that allows the tentacles to sway freely without being continuously blasted in one direction.
Care Guide
Care Level: Moderate
Lighting: Moderate
PAR: Approx. 100–200
Flow: Moderate, indirect and varied
Placement: Lower–Middle areas of the aquarium
Temperament: Aggressive
Feeding: Photosynthetic; benefits from occasional targeted feeding
Growth: Moderate under stable conditions
Recommended Parameters
Temperature: 24–26°C
Salinity: 1.025–1.026 SG
Alkalinity: 7.5–9 dKH
Calcium: 400–450 ppm
Magnesium: 1250–1400 ppm
Nitrate: 2–15 ppm
Phosphate: 0.03–0.10 ppm
Torch Corals can extend powerful sweeper tentacles, so provide generous space from neighbouring corals. Stable alkalinity and salinity are particularly important, and newly introduced specimens should be gradually acclimated to your aquarium's lighting.
Once settled and fully extended, the Orange Dragon Soul becomes a real showpiece, combining intense colour with the flowing movement Torch Corals are famous for.
Colour and appearance can vary depending on lighting spectrum, intensity and individual aquarium conditions.
