Green Centre Clove Polyps

This will be a frag with a minimum of 5 polyps.

Green Centre Clove Polyps are a vibrant soft coral featuring intensely fluorescent green centres surrounded by delicate, feathery polyps with contrasting coloured tips. Under blue reef lighting, the centres produce an incredible neon glow, creating a bright and colourful display with plenty of natural movement.

Hardy, adaptable and relatively easy to care for, they are an excellent choice for adding colour and movement to both established reefs and newer systems. Once settled, the colony can gradually spread across the surrounding rockwork to create an impressive carpet of flowing polyps.

Care Level: Easy
Lighting: Low to moderate
Flow: Low to moderate, indirect
Placement: Lower to middle
Temperament: Peaceful
Growth Rate: Moderate to fast
Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic but may benefit from occasional fine particulate coral foods

Ideal Tank Parameters

Temperature: 24–26°C
Salinity: 1.024–1.026 SG
Alkalinity: 7.5–9.0 dKH
Calcium: 400–450 ppm
Magnesium: 1250–1400 ppm
Nitrate: 2–20 ppm
Phosphate: 0.03–0.15 ppm

Green Centre Clove Polyps generally thrive in stable reef systems with some available nutrients. Gentle to moderate, varied flow helps keep the polyps open and creates their characteristic swaying movement without constantly blasting the colony.

These polyps can spread readily once established, so consider placing them on an isolated rock or an area where their growth can be easily managed.

Please note: Colour, growth and polyp extension can vary depending on lighting, flow and individual aquarium conditions.
