Firework Clove Polyps
This will be a frag with a minimum of 5 Polyps.
Firework Clove Polyps are a striking soft coral known for their delicate, feathery polyps and incredible fluorescent colouration. Under blue reef lighting, their contrasting centres and bright yellow-green highlights create the unmistakable “firework” appearance that gives this coral its name.
Once settled, they can form a beautiful flowing colony, adding both colour and movement to the reef. They are generally hardy and adaptable, making them an excellent choice for both newer reef keepers and established systems.
Care Level: Easy
Lighting: Low to moderate
Flow: Low to moderate, indirect
Placement: Lower to middle
Temperament: Peaceful
Growth Rate: Moderate to fast
Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic but may benefit from occasional fine particulate coral foods
Temperature: 24–26°C
Salinity: 1.024–1.026 SG
Alkalinity: 7.5–9.0 dKH
Calcium: 400–450 ppm
Magnesium: 1250–1400 ppm
Nitrate: 2–20 ppm
Phosphate: 0.03–0.15 ppm
Firework Clove Polyps generally appreciate stable conditions with some available nutrients rather than an ultra-low nutrient system. Moderate, varied flow will encourage the polyps to remain open and gently sway without being blasted directly.
As the colony becomes established it can spread across surrounding rockwork, so placement should be considered if you want to keep its growth contained.
Please note: Colour, polyp extension and appearance can vary depending on lighting, flow and individual aquarium conditions.
